We grow the above types of mushrooms because they are well suited to commercial growing indoors.  The environmental conditions they require are similar to one another and easily mimicked in our facility.  They also are wood loving mushrooms, so we grow them in hardwood sawdust.  Unlike white button, cremini, and portobellos, which are part of the Agaricus bisporus family and grow better in manure.
